If you're a Cardano (CRYPTO: ADA) investor, it's time to start getting worried. While other cryptocurrencies are showing signs of recovery in 2026, Cardano is still languishing. For the year, it's still down a whopping 27%.

To put that into perspective, it's even worse than Dogecoin's performance, which is down 20% for the year. If investors have completely given up on Cardano, that doesn't bode well for where it could be in three years.

Cardano was once the leading rival to Ethereum, the world's top Layer-1 blockchain network. Just five years ago, Cardano ranked as the fourth-largest cryptocurrency in the world, with a $66 billion market cap. Today, it's trading for less than $0.25 and has a market cap of just $9 billion.
