Tesla's Model Y L Is Coming to America. Will It Reignite Sales Growth?
Tesla is in the middle of a major business shift, and a long-range version of its Model Y SUV could help ease the transition.
Overview
Elon Musk is known for making bold moves. When it comes to Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), the big change he's implementing is a shift from making electric vehicles (EVs) to making humanoid robots. Tesla, however, still needs to make its EVs if it has any hope of supporting this massive business shift. Which is why the Model Y L is so important.
Elon Musk has embraced the idea that autonomous devices are the future. To that end, he's pushed Tesla to develop self-driving cars. The company is currently working on autonomous taxi services, but self-driving electric vehicles have long been a key part of the company's technology push. The company has also been working on a humanoid robot, known as Optimus.
