Palantir Keeps 55 Cents of Every Revenue Dollar as Profit
A 55% net margin would be extreme in any industry. What's inside the number matters more than the number itself.
Palantir Technologies(NASDAQ:PLTR) took in $1.94 billion of revenue in the second quarter and kept $1.06 billion of it as net income. Out of every dollar the artificial intelligence (AI) software specialist collected, 55 cents dropped to the bottom line.
For context, a year earlier the margin was 33%, and it ran at 36% across all of 2025. Software has always been a high-margin business. But numbers like these are rare at any scale, let alone for a growth stock still expanding revenue 93% year over year.
Details
A margin that extreme deserves a closer look, because how Palantir earns its 55 cents matters as much as the figure itself.
