Nike Is Now the Highest-Yielding Stock in the Dow After Falling 79% From Its 2021 High. Is Nike an Obvious Value Stock to Buy Now?
Nike looks cheap, but the turnaround still needs proving.
Overview
Nike (NYSE: NKE) has lost roughly 79% of its value since hitting an all-time high of $179.10 in November 2021. With the stock now trading at around $37, its dividend yield has climbed to roughly 4.4%, making Nike the highest-yielding stock in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Indeed, that's quite a fall for a company that remains one of the most recognizable consumer brands on the planet.
Nike generated $46.4 billion in revenue in fiscal 2026 and finished the year with $9 billion in cash, equivalents, and short-term investments. Yet the stock is trading at levels last seen more than a decade ago. So, is Nike finally an obvious value stock? Not quite. Let me explain.
