Is It Too Late to Buy Bloom Energy? My Honest Take.
Bloom Energy has grown 15-fold in five years. But are there still good days ahead?
Overview
Up over 200% since last October, and over 1,400% over the last five years, Bloom Energy (NYSE: BE) has been on an absolute tear. And it's not hard to see why. Bloom has become one of the most important energy companies to the tech industry, mainly because it has something AI companies desperately need: power, and fast.
Bloom's solid oxide fuel cells -- Bloom boxes, as they're sometimes called -- can generate electricity directly at data centers, which allows developers to sidestep the years-long wait for a connection to the grid. This "time to power" advantage has catapulted Bloom from a relatively obscure clean-energy upstart into one of Wall Street's hottest energy stocks.
Details
With such an enormous run behind it, however, the uncomfortable question emerges: Have Bloom's best market days come and gone, or is there still upside ahead?
