If you're a retire on Social Security who's itching to know what the 2027 cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) is going to look like, you shouldn't have to wait much longer.
Social Security COLAs are based on inflation data from the third quarter of the year. So once data for September comes in, the Social Security Administration (SSA) should be in a position to make that raise official.
