3 Warning Signs That Micron Investors Shouldn't Ignore
The memory specialist looks like it will continue to be a major winner from the AI build-out, but three growing risks could give investors reason to pump the brakes.
Overview
When you look at Micron Technology (NASDAQ: MU) today, it can be tempting to see a simple artificial intelligence (AI) memory winner and stop there. This company has been on a tear recently, and its stock is up by more than 500% in the past year. It just posted record quarterly results, its high bandwidth memory products are sold out well in advance, and management is guiding for another huge quarter.
If you own the stock or are thinking about buying it, though, there are at least three warning signs that deserve your attention.
Details
Micron's fiscal third‑quarter release reads like a snapshot of an AI supercycle. In the period, which ended May 28, revenue jumped to $41.46 billion, up from $23.86 billion in the prior quarter and up from $9.30 billion a year earlier, with a gross margin above 84%.
